The answer is ...
Here is my choice of TED talks.
I chose it because it is nice to see the Google style in presentations and its introduction absolutely takes audience's attention to a different subject than the presentation!! That's brave, no?
Once, I began a final presentation in a workshop saying a huge thing like that: We are going to present you now our studies of this week. And we are not going to present a final application as it was asked, but we are about to present you a whole new concept. At this moment, people opened their eyes very wide, and we won: we attracted people attention for a least... 1 minutes !
So, by experience, a the beginning of a presentation: go strong!
