for homework...
please watch at least part of this.... If it's at all boring... just stop! (minimum 10 minutes...)
Add a comment on the blog about what you think is relevant... what you liked... what surprised you. what you would like to use for your own presentations...
Also have a look at his presentationzen.com website and especially the "popular posts" section (on the right).
Jordi 'll post the minutes with the other things to do for our next class in a month!

I liked how he succeeds in interacting with the audience, but I feel he showed to much pictures about his colleagues and himself in the beginning and too fast
ReplyDelete"too much"
ReplyDeleteI think the real presentation starts in the middle because the way he tried to interact with the audiences at the beginning was "enough".
ReplyDeleteOne sentence
How many of you…?
One sentence
How many of you…?
One sentence
How many of you…? And it goes on!!!!
Ok, I am listening you, I am in, come to the subject, please !!!!
But then, in the second part, the examples he gave were really interesting specially “Bush’s song” :) and the “small families, long lives” :)
There is an interesting point that he underlined “ Don’t start at the computer?”. I think, we can work on it at the class because when I need to do a presentation, the first thing I do is to open powerpoint, to prepare first (cover) and the last slide(thank you any questions) and to try to choose themes and colors!!!
See you tomorrow
Fortunately, I watched only the second part of the presentation... and I found it very interesting. His advices are well illustrated with examples, and he shows us several ways of presenting which are very different but all efficient (I mean Takahashi, Hans Rosling, Steve Jobs...). Finally, there is not one good way to present.
ReplyDeleteI think we all have to find our own style, adapted to our type of work, to the type of the audience and to our personality.
